Gregory Baum (*1923 in Berlin), B.A., M.A., Dr. theol. (Fribourg (CH), 1956, war Theologieprofessor in Toronto. Während des II. Vatikanum beriet er das "Einheitssekretariat" unter Leitung von Kardinal Augustin Bea in Ökumenefragen. Während der nachkonziliaren Krise schrieb er häufig für das "linkskatholische" Magazin Concilium (gegr. 1965). Baum wurde 1976 laisiert.
